Christmas 2006!

You know that one day it has to come, but you act like its never REALLY going to happen. But it does. Your sister gets married and spends Christmas with her husbands family and your brother has to work. No longer can you hold tight to the traditions that you look forward to every year.

This year, your sister won't come wake you up at 7:30 am. And when you lock her out and go back to sleep she won't come up with clever ways to be super loud so you can't.
This year, your brother won't steal one of your presents and open it and then laugh and act like he didn't mean to do it.
This year, you won't all be able to have contests with the little $.50 game mom stuck in your stockings..... at some point it all has to end........

So, to avoid that.. we had Christmas two days early this year :) You thought we were REALLY going to ruin Christmas??!? Ha!

It was wonderful. Even though Dusti stayed up super late, she still was up at like 8:00. Derek didn't open any of my presents.. but its because he was distracted by the number of his own presents- for some reason the amount grew significantly. But we did race our styrofome air planes- break our styrofome air planes- fix our styrofome air planes- and race our styrofome airplanes again. :) (Mine was totally the best)

I absolutley love Christmas :)

Okay, so on to the good stuff..

Dad bought me a Houston Firefighter shirt (I've only been asking for one for like the last 10 years of my life).
Derek got me 2 Tom Robbins Books. :)
Dusti got me cool Shoes.
Nannie bought me a watch.
And Mom got me clothes and lotions and stuff.

Exciting huh?? Yeah, well theres more.

Dustin got me:

1. Tom Robbins Last book: Wild Ducks Flying Backward.
Its a collection of T.R.'s short writings- stuff abouthis travels, tributes to people and things, interview questions he's answered.. etc. Its pretty cool.
BUT Not ONLY did he by me the book... he ALSO got it signed :) And its not just stamped, or copied- its signed in marker.. which bled through to the other side of the page :)



Way too cool. Dustin = Perfect.

2. My very own Leopard Gecko. :) - (and then his friend bought him one too.. so now we have 2)


These babies are AWESOME. We've got a huge aquarium, live crickets to feed them (not to mention the food to keep the crickets alive), and lots of love for them :)
I had to resist the urge to name him Geico.. after my one true love. ;)

Anyway, they rock, and Dustin rocks, and my family rocks, and Christmas rocks, and you rock for crying out loud. :)

Hope your Christmas is awesome.. now go be jealous that I already got to open all my presents. :)
